Psalm 89

He came to destroy the monster who ruins our lives. Incredibly, Jesus destroyed the devil through suffering. He conquered evil by suffering and dying, not by vanquishing the devil with military force. The same message of victory is found in vv. 22-23. “The enemy shall not outwit him; the wicked shall not humble him. I will crush his foes before him and strike down those who hate him.”
